The contemplation space is designed as a 2-story multi-use building nestled between 20th and Alabama Street in San Francisco. Currently the site is primarily an unused parking lot space surrounded by a combination of commercial, food/dining, and art spaces. This was designed with the intention to create a community space to bring different residents together as a multi-purpose yoga space, tea room, small outdoor green space, and residential building with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen upstairs for the occupants of this building. An interesting exploration of public and private space, this project aims to bring a sense of calm and tranquility to an otherwise busy part of the city.
